they are alot thinner than i wanted. my hair seems to be thinning out over all. and i just dont like the way they are turning out.
it's not too late to take them down. but i feel like, this is my third try. if i dont achieve locs this time, i wont even try anymore. i will just twist it up, braid it up. and take it down every few weeks.
i'm so frustrated.
i'm so....
done with this mess.
Hi Sis! I saw your post on Nappturality and just wanted to offer you a little encouragement!
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you're going through, having had the same problem with my first set of locks. They seemed to scalpy and too thin to me, so I chopped them off in a fit of anger! A few months later, after I calmed down, I restarted with braids and freeforming. I have just reached my 11th month and have only twisted them once. I wash my hair 3-4 times a week, and spritz them daily. With this set, I don't see ANY scalp and my locks feel thicker and I'm happier!
Please don't give up, try freeforming for a few months to see if that helps, and it should. I have looked at your hair pics and I see the beginnings of a gorgeous set of locks!
Peace! (Nzingha from Nappturality)
Hey I also saw your post on nappturality. Im hardly ahead of you in my loc journey (im only 8 months in)... but the "scalpy" look doesn't last forever
ReplyDeleteI posted 3 comparison shots taken with the same camera over the 8 month period and the change is obvious. Its a part of the process... just stick it out it will be worth it.
